drenotube® TECHNICAL DATA

Double wall slotted (drainage purposes) or perforated (infiltration use) corrugated high density polyethylene pipe. It is flexible and able to contour corners and other obstacles.

UNE 53994: 2011 Plastics. Thermoplastics pipes and fittings with metallic reinforce for building and civil engineering sub-soil drainage.

EPS geosintetic particles with a particular design to achieve high water flow and void space. High content of post industrial recycled material from strictly sorted sources. Carefully tested. Narrow molecular weight distribution despite recycling. Cell size structure suitable for high compressive strength. It is not brittle at subzero temperatures. Works as gravel replacement.

Chemical Resistance: It is a large molecular weight compound with a non reactive structure. It is resistant to diluted basic and acidic media. It is not attacked or degraded by long exposures to either bleach, soap solutions, or common household products that are poured down the drain.

Geotextile needle punched filter. Does not need to support heavy load puncture compared with traditional gravel drainage. It is printed longitudinally with a line displaying the words ” This side up”. Segments must be installed positioning this line upwards. In between the netting and aggregate there is a geotextile filter covering 3/4 of the bundle perimeter. The uncovered part (1/4) must be placed facing the bottom of the trench. The fabric is used to prevent the soil intrusion.

1-NOTE:  EPS aggregate particles are lighter than water, therefore, it would  be expected that natural buoyancy forces would tend to make drenotube® float out of ground when ponding occurs. Field experience has shown, however, that this is not a problem when it has a minimum of 200 mm soil cover.

2- NOTE: Despite the geotextile filter is UV protected, due to its fine fiber structure it is better to backfill the trench as soon as possible after installation to avoid exposure to sunlight.

3 – NOTE: drenotube® is packed with a polythylene UV protective bag. Do not remove until the planned installation day.
